This course is available for students who already hold a Level 3 qualification and certificate in Anatomy & Physiology from the last 10 years. Evidence of this will be required at time of booking to secure your place.

On this course you will learn:
Massage Theory & Practice
- The benefits and contraindications of massage
- A holistic approach to treatment by treating the mind, body and spirit
- Using a variety of massage techniques and applying them using the correct body posture and pressure
- A full body massage routine and how to adapt this to different clients
- Identifying various anatomical landmarks on the body such as bones and muscles
- An introduction to other natural therapies
Business Practice
- Setting up in practice including statutory regulations
- Advertising, marketing and promotions
Assignments and Assessments
- There will be quite a lot of time required for you to study at home – a minimum of 5 hours per week
- 2 assignments to complete on Complementary Therapies and Business Practice
- 20 massage treatments some of which will be done in class
- 16 further treatments in the form of 8 case studies
- A practical examination lasting 1 hour
You may be exempt from doing the above assignments if you have already completed them on a previous course. Please contact us to discuss your individual mode of study.
For international students wanting to complete an International Diploma in Holistic Massage, the qualification comprises of 3 theory papers, (1 for each module) 5 case studies on different clients receiving 4 treatments each, and 1 practical exam. Please contact us regrading dates and your individual Mode of Study.
The above cost and requirements are based on you already having completed a recognised theory exam in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. Evidence of this will be required at time of enrolment. If you have not completed the above qualification, you can enrol on the Massage Diploma including Anatomy & Physiology Module. Please contact us to discuss your individual mode of study.
After Qualification
Following successful completion of this course, therapists have gone on to work in clinics, cruise ships, health clubs, hotels, hospices, hospitals, care homes, do home visits or treat their own clients from within their own practice.
